ICO appoints José Dauster Sette as new Executive Director

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – The International Coffee Organization (ICO) today announced the appointment of Mr José Dauster Sette as its new Executive Director for a five-year term.  The decision was made by the International Coffee Council during its recent meeting in London.  Sette will step into the role that was left vacant by the late Robério Oliveria Silva, who died in December 2016.
 
Sette, who is currently the Executive Director of the International Cotton Advisory, will bring to the role over 15 years of experience at senior management level in international commodity bodies and trade associations.  Sette has previously worked with the ICO from 2007-2012, serving as Head of Operations and taking on the role of interim Executive Director for a year in 2010/2011.
